Flame meeting timber during production at the Inflamed factory

ABOUT INFLAMED

We learned through fire

Inflamed is a Lithuanian manufacturer specialising in charred timber for architecture. We burn, brush and finish timber at our factory in Kaunas, supplying distinctive materials for projects across Europe and around the world.

OUR BEGINNING

From a first flame to controlled production

Our story began with timber, fire and the determination to create something remarkable. What started as a manual process has developed into a controlled manufacturing system—but our attention to every board remains unchanged.

The story behind the material

Explore how Inflamed grew from manually charred boards into a specialist timber manufacturer.

01

The first project

Inflamed began in 2022 with a 130 m² charred-timber project in Vilnius

02

Building a better process

Manual torch charring gradually developed into purpose-built production machinery.

03

Rooted in Yakisugi

A traditional Japanese principle adapted for contemporary European architecture.

04

Made in Kaunas

Every Inflamed finish is produced and inspected at our factory in Kaunas, Lithuania.

05

Character with technical purpose

Our finishes are developed for real buildings, real environments and long-term use.

06

Continual improvement

Every project contributes to our understanding of timber and strengthens our process.

MADE IN KAUNAS

Technology gives us control. Experience tells us when the timber is ready.

Every Inflamed board is charred, finished and checked at our factory in Lithuania before being prepared for delivery.
