Does charred wood rub off on clothing?+
No. Every board is brushed to remove loose soot and then sealed with wood oil before it leaves the factory.
What maintenance does Shou Sugi Ban need?+
A re-oil every three to five years depending on exposure. No sanding, no repainting.
Can I get a sample before ordering?+
Yes. Request a sample box and we ship physical boards of the finishes you are considering.
