Acetylated timber valued for dimensional stability. Accoya® warranty: 50 years above ground and 25 years in ground or freshwater, subject to Accoya’s warranty terms. Covers rot and fungal decay, not colour or finish retention.

Dimensions shown are nominal dimensions before treatment. Charring, brushing and finishing may result in dimensional variation of up to 5 mm in width and approximately 2-3 mm in thickness. Alternative widths are available upon request.

Maintenance

Approximately every 15-20 years Inspect the façade at least once a year for surface damage, splitting, coating deterioration or discolouration beneath the coating, which could indicate moisture penetration. KAEN deep-char products generally require less frequent maintenance than brushed finishes. The charred layer will weather naturally; maintenance depends on its visual and protective condition. Newly approved INFLAMED indicative maintenance-planning interval: approximately every 15-20 years. Inspect visually at least annually. This is not a colour-retention warranty or guaranteed service life.

Actual timing depends on the timber, finish, façade design, orientation, UV exposure, local climate, moisture, wind, rain, sunlight and architectural detailing. Base maintenance on the visual and protective condition of the surface, not a fixed guarantee. These intervals are not colour-retention warranties or guaranteed service lives.

Spruce KIME (5-7 years), Japanese Cedar KIME (10-12 years), Accoya® KIME (approximately 15 years) and KAEN (approximately 15-20 years) are newly approved INFLAMED guidance, not values taken from the current downloadable guides. Black brushed Larch and decking intervals come from the existing maintenance guides.
